Operating Principle

Depending on the selected operation mode, the ATOM MS measurement system may be installed onto a fixed support, tripod, roof or car trunk. All fixtures are versatile and interchangeable. Configuration is performed remotely via the advanced intuitive user web interface or using a laptop at the installation location.

The ATOM MS system automatically records traffic offences within its range and generates evidence bodies for each of the targets (max 50 targets at the same time such as overview photos, photos with visually discernible license plates, and video records of each of the offences. At the same time, continuous video recording may be performed for events within the monitoring range of the system (depending on types, versions and recorded offences).

The ATOM MS system assigns vehicles one of the 5 categories including passenger cars, max 3.5 tons minibuses/trucks not exceeding, SUVs/pickup trucks, trucks over 3.5 tons, buses over 8 seats. Categories are assigned relying on visual data without using any databases. It ensures automatic recording of failures to comply with truck traffic prohibitions, and to assign the automatic speed limits set forth in the traffic rules for the relevant vehicle categories. At the same time, the ATOM MS system is capable to identify makes and models of vehicles.

Quick Setup and Installation

Its user-friendly fixtures and lightweight structure of light impact-proof plastics (the monobloc version of the system weighs not more than 5 kg) simplifies and accelerates installation of the ATOM MS system onto any fixed supports and minimizes its relocation cost and time.

The web interface ensure quick setup, In manual mode one must enter the virtual interactive indicator lines and the sensor height, while entering the sensor height only is sufficient in the semiautomatic mode. At the same time, the embedded gyro sensor ensures proper orientation.

Depending on the selected road section and the required set of recorded offences, the ATOM MS system is installed either in its monobloc or distributed version.

Monobloc Version
The monobloc includes a video camera, a computational module, a 3D radar, a GLONASS/GPS satellite receiver, data storage devices, a control module, an embedded standalone diagnostic unit, an embedded infrared lighting, a communication module, an embedded UPS, power supply and thermal stabilization systems. It is used in fixed and mobile modes at linear and extended road sections.
Distributed Version
It is used in fixed modes at complex linear and extended road sections, intersections, pedestrian and railway crossings where using the monobloc version is impossible or impracticable. It is a system that may include measurement, computational and video units as well as auxiliary equipment kits.

Fixed Mode
220 V/12 V grid connection.
The kit including a console for mounting onto a support and connecting to a 220 V or 12 V grid. Mounting near thoroughfares at heights not exceeding 10 meters. Installation over the thoroughfare or striping is also possible.
